What are the plans for Global Security Exchange (GSX) 2024? |
Global Security Exchange (GSX) 2024 is an integrated experience with in-person and digital features that will take place 23-25 September in Orlando, Florida, USA. The three-day event features daily keynote and game-changer presentations, concurrent education sessions focusing on the most pressing issues faced by the security profession, an extensive exhibit hall, and myriad opportunities for networking. The in-person event will be held at the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) in the South Hall. The digital portion of the event will be hosted on the GSX digital platform. |
What are the dates of GSX 2024? |
GSX will be held Monday – Wednesday, 23-25 September 2024. Additionally, ASIS will host several pre-conference programs and activities on Saturday and Sunday, 21-22 September, including Workshops, Certification Reviews, the ASIS Volunteer Awards of Excellence with the Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs), and Volunteer Day. Be sure to look for updates to our event schedule. |
Where will GSX 2024 take place? |
The in-person portion of GSX 2024 will take place at the Orange County Convention Center – South Building, Orlando, Florida, USA (9800 International Drive, Orlando, FL 32819). The GSX digital platform will be announced in late summer 2024. |

What is the attire for GSX 2024? |
Dress for GSX 2024 is business casual. The attire for ASIS Celebrates! is casual; jeans or shorts are appropriate. Comfortable walking shoes are suggested for all conference activities. |

Can digital attendees record the livestreamed sessions? |
No, Digital Attendees are expressly prohibited to record any sessions while participating virtually. This includes recording the livestreamed General Sessions, All-Access Sessions, and all education sessions on the four Expo Floor stages. Please note, apart from the General Session content, session recordings and slides/handouts will be available for Digital Registrant access through the platform until 31 December 2024. |

What is ASIS doing to support local organizations in Orlando? |
ASIS has partnered with SocialOffset.org to offer meeting attendees the opportunity to contribute to local organizations in Orlando that make a difference in people’s lives. ASIS has worked with SocialOffset to select five vetted charities that support racial justice, LGBTQ+ equality, hunger relief, housing security, and reproductive freedom in Orlando. Can I add on an ASIS Volunteer Awards of Excellence & the Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs) and ASIS Celebrates ticket? |
All GSX in-person registrants may add on a separate ticket for the ASIS Volunteer Awards of Excellence & the Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs) and/or ASIS Celebrates! that will print out when you collect your badge onsite. Please note that ticket will only grant access to those particular events – no other GSX events. |
How do I access session handouts? |
You can view the session handouts in the mobile app by clicking in the session and scrolling down to the handout link. You can download the handout by accessing the session through a web browser. Find the session, click the handout link, and then download or save. (Available once a session time starts and until December 31, 2024; if handouts are not listed the speakers did not want to share their information.) |

How do I get a Visa Invitation Letter for GSX? |
Personalized visa invitation letters are automatically generated and sent to all individuals who register for in-person GSX with a mailing address outside the U.S. International attendee’s registration fees will be refunded if you are unable to obtain a visa, provided that the visa was applied for well in advance of GSX 2024 and all necessary documents were submitted in a timely manner. We will accept requests for GSX refunds up to Monday, 14 October 2024. Please view the Show Policies and Cancellation Policies. |
Are guest badges available for GSX? |
Yes. Please note that “Guest” refers to a spouse, significant other, or other personal friend, not a business associate or staff colleague affiliated with the security industry. An All-Access badge holder may add a Guest badge during the registration process. Guest passes are only admitted access to the exhibit hall, ASIS awards celebration, and ASIS Celebrates!. |

Can I earn Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits at GSX 2024? |

Bistro GSX – a hot buffet with a different menu each day – is open to all attendees. Tickets are included with All-Access, One-Day, and Student badges; all other badge types may purchase tickets in advance. Formerly called the President’s Reception, ASIS International will be hosting its reception, ASIS Celebrates!, supported by Sign In Solutions. There are fraudulent companies and organizations that will try to present themselves as official partners of ASIS and offer you a potential room that might not be guaranteed or available. The closest airport to OCCC is Orlando International Airport (MCO), about a 20-minute drive from the Convention Center. |
I am local to Orlando and will be driving in each day, where should I park at OCCC? |
Attendees who are driving in and parking at OCCC should park in the North/South parking lot. Parking rates are $20+ tax/day for a personal vehicle and $40+ tax/day for oversized vehicles. Please see this link for additional information: https://www.occc.net/Attendee-Parking. |
Can I take a taxi or rideshare to OCCC? |
Absolutely. Please ask the driver to drop you off at the OCCC South Building. |
Will there be shuttle bus service? |
Yes, ASIS will be providing shuttle service between GSX hotels and the OCCC Monday – Wednesday, 23-25 September. Shuttle service between GSX hotels and the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) South Building is provided complimentary for attendees and exhibitors who made hotel reservations through MCI USA, the official GSX 2024 housing provider. Is the OCCC accessible to guests with mobility challenges? |
The OCCC has wheelchair ramps, automatic doors, passenger elevators and accessible restrooms for those who need them. All parking at the OCCC is available on a first-come, first-served basis, including disability permit parking. Exact numbers of available spaces vary according to show traffic. Animals are not permitted on the OCCC premises except in conjunction with an approved exhibit or in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Animals that are approved to be on the convention center premises must be on a leash, within a pen, or under similar control. The owner will be fully responsible for his/her animal(s). |
Will there be scooters available to rent at GSX? |

I will be in a wheelchair/scooter, how can I get from my hotel to OCCC? |
TMS, the GSX shuttle company, will have accessible transportation available on-call. Beginning Sunday, 22 September, you can call 1-866-439-8563 to reserve a wheelchair-accessible transportation shuttle for the dates of Monday, 23 September – Wednesday, 25 September. Please allow 30 minutes for the shuttle to arrive. PLEASE NOTE REGARDING THE THREE WALK HOTELS: The Hilton Orlando and Hyatt Regency Orlando are connected to the OCCC via a series of skybridges. The Rosen Centre Hotel is across the street from the OCCC. |
I have difficulty seeing/hearing, how can I participate in education sessions? |
You will find reserved seating at front of all session rooms/theaters specifically for our guests with seeing/hearing challenges. No need to request in advance, just take a seat! |
I will be in a wheelchair/scooter, will there be space for me in education sessions? |
Yes, ASIS will provide accessible seating areas in all session rooms/theaters. If you do not see a space, or need additional room, please notify any ASIS staff member or GSX host committee volunteer. |
I have a food allergy; will there be options for me as GSX? |
Gluten free, vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free, and peanut-free options will be available at all official GSX meal functions. Please indicate your food allergy during the registration process. Additionally, some OCCC food court/food carts will also have these options. While we will make a reasonable attempt to accommodate dietary restrictions, situations of complicated or severe restrictions or allergies may not be able to be accommodated. Our catering partners are unable to ensure no cross contamination of allergens takes place. If you have a ticket(s) for Bistro GSX and request a Kosher or Halal meal in advance, you will be accommodated. Unfortunately, OCCC does not have any food court/food cart options to meet those needs. |
SECURITY |

What is the GSX security policy? |
ASIS International strives to keep its delegates and exhibitors safe during GSX, while maintaining relative ease of access to all events and venues. Every person entering the Exhibit Hall, a classroom, or an on- or off-site GSX event must be wearing an official GSX 2024 badge. No one under the age of 18 will be admitted to the in-person event, including evening events. There are no exceptions to this policy. ASIS International will not provide details about all the security plans related to the event. However, you can expect to see a variety of security measures in place throughout the event, including random bag searches. Requests for identification that must match the credentials you have been issued. As always, keeping you safe and secure throughout the week is a priority. Is there an official weapons policy? |
Under the guidance of the GSX security team and the Orange County Convention Center’s Security Division, there shall be no weapons of any kind during GSX 2024 unless an individual has jurisdictional authority to be armed within the confines of the Orange County Convention Center’s complex, specifically, personnel of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department and Federal law enforcement personnel. |

What is ASIS’s crisis communication plan? |
We take security very seriously at ASIS International. An important facet of our Security and Crisis Management Plan is how we communicate with our attendees and exhibitors in the unlikely event of an emergency. We have a multi-layered communications plan that includes public address announcements at the OCCC, push messaging through our mobile app, and SMS messaging through our partner Rave Mobile Safety, a Motorola company. What are the health and safety considerations that will be in place at GSX 2024? |
ASIS International’s first priority is the health and safety of GSX stakeholders – attendees, exhibitors, speakers, sponsors, staff, and vendors. Please review the GSX health and safety page. |
What if I feel ill during GSX? |
If you or someone near you is having a medical emergency, dial 911 and let the dispatcher know you are in the OCCC South (or North) Building. First Aid will be on duty at OCCC during all open GSX hours. You can find them on the 200 level at the top of the escalators to the South B Hall entrance. |
Where can I get medication/a COVID test? |
Over the counter medications, prescription medications, and COVID testing is available at several pharmacies in the Orlando area including: Additional testing sites and other general information is available from the Orange County Government. |
